Are cashews high in cholesterol?

Cashews do not contain any amount of cholesterol at all. In fact some studies report that consumption of cashews can reduce total cholesterol & LDL Cholesterol i.e. bad cholesterol.

Are cashews high in protein?

Yes, cashews are a good source of protein.

As per the USDA Food Data Central they contain 18.22% protein. Generally it is recommended to consume one ounce i.e. 28.3 grams of nuts per day. One ounce of cashews provide us around 5 grams of protein. Typically 16 to 18 cashews weigh an ounce.

1. What are instant noodles?

Instant noodles or instant ramen are noodles prepared from wheat flour and or rice flour or any other flours that are precooked and dehydrated either by frying or by other methods. 

Instant noodles were invented by Momofuku Ando of Nissin foods in Japan. Ando started selling his precooked noodles in 1958 and the original chicken flavoured noodles were named as chikin ramen. (1)

1. Are nuts rich in protein?

Yes, they are. Nuts offer a moderate to good amount (depending on the variety) of high quality plant based protein that can be consumed by vegetarians and vegans.

Peanuts contain 25.8 g of protein per 100 g and are the richest source of protein among nuts. 

Pistachios and almonds contain about 20% protein. Hazelnuts and walnuts consist of around 15% protein. (1)
