Apples belong to very low energy foods category. 100 grams of apple slices provide us about 52 Calories (217.5 kJ) of energy.

One medium sized apple weighing 200 grams provides 104 Calories (435 kJ). An extra-large apple weighing 295 grams provides 153 Calories (640 kJ). 1 slice of apple weighing 25 grams provides as little as 13 Calories (54.4 kJ) of energy.

What is the quantity of protein in dates?

Deglet Noor date variety is popular in the world especially in the export market. 100 grams of these dates contain about 2.45 grams of protein.

Another larger sized date variety named Medjool dates contain lesser amount of protein than the former. 100 grams of this variety of dates provide us about 1.8 grams of protein.

We can say that dates are poor sources of protein. They are rich in carbohydrate content and are good sources of dietary fibre.

How many Calories are in 1 date?

There are different varieties of dates available in the world. For example, one famous variety of dates is Deglet Noor.

One date of this variety weighs about 8 grams. As per the USDA data one deglet Noor date provides 22.6 Cal (94.55 kJ) of energy.

One more popular variety is medjool dates variety which is generally bigger in size. One pitted medjool date weighing 24 grams provides about 66.5 Calories (278 kJ).

How many Calories do peanuts contain?

Peanuts are high energy foods. 100 g of boiled peanuts provide 318 Calories or 1330 kilo Joules of energy whereas 100 g of dry roasted variety contains a whopping 587 Calories or 2460 kilo Joules of energy.

Since boiled peanuts contain much higher moisture content compared to the dry roasted variety, the boiled peanuts contain lesser calories.

How much protein does peanut butter contain?

In general,the peanut butter is an excellent source of protein. About 23% of the total weight of it is protein. Two tablespoons of peanut butter weighing 32 grams contain about 7 g of protein. People building muscles such as weight lifters can use peanut butter as a vegetarian source of protein.

I would suggest you to choose no sugar added product if available in the market. Even the elderly can consume it without worrying much.

Peanut butter is a very high calorie food. 100 grams of it contains about 600 Calories or 2510 kJ of energy.

A typical serving size of 2 tablespoons of peanut butter provide about 190 Calories or 790 kJ of energy. Hence it must be consumed in moderation. It would be better not to consume more than two tablespoons of peanut butter a day.

How much protein is in broccoli?

Broccoli is a green vegetable that is closely related to cabbage, cauliflower and kale. Broccoli is eaten in raw and cooked forms.

In general, like most other vegetables broccoli is also a poor source of protein as it constitutes just 2.6% of the total weight of this vegetable. 1 cup of raw broccoli weighing 76 grams provides us about 2 grams of protein.

How much protein is in chicken breast?

Skinless and boneless cooked chicken breast contains 32% protein. It is an excellent amount. 1 piece of cooked chicken breast weighing 174 grams provides 56 g of protein which is quite a lot.

Even the quality of chicken protein is much better compared to many vegetarian protein sources because of its essential amino acids content.

What is the quantity of protein in chicken per 100 grams?

Cooked (by the method of stewing) chicken meat with skin contains about 24.7% protein. We can say that chicken in general is an excellent source of protein.

If we remove the chicken skin portion and take only chicken meat then the protein quantity is much higher. Skinless cooked chicken meat contains 30.4% protein.

How much protein is in 3 eggs?

Eggs are very good sources of protein. Even the quality of the egg protein is quite good because of its excellent essential amino acid profile.

One large grade A egg as per US standards without shell weighs about 50.3 grams. It contains 6.24 grams of protein. So, three whole eggs contain about 18.7 grams of protein.

In general, whole eggs contain about 12.4% protein.
