What are some good sources of taurine to cats?

April 15, 2022 by Prashanth Cheruku, M.Tech Leave a Comment

Clams, octopus, shrimp and fish are excellent sources of taurine. Chicken legs, beef, pork and lamb are good sources of taurine.

Hen’s eggs both yolk and white does not contain taurine.

Most of the vegetarian foods such as cereals, nuts, seeds, and grains either contain very low amounts of taurine or they do not contain any amount at all.

Commercially available pet foods in most of the cases may contain taurine. Please go through the nutritional information of the specific products you feed your cat.
